Descripción del curso

These courses allow the student to focus on a career-related or personal topic of interest.
These topics include, but are not limited to: Medical Spanish, Business Spanish, Spanish for Law Professionals, Household Spanish, Spanish for Work in Construction, Ecological Spanish , Nautical Spanish, Spanish for Work in Tourism, Spanish for Teachers, Spanish for Children (3+), Spanish & Latin American Culture, Spanish for Preparation for OTEIMA Exams, Spanish for Preparation of DELE Exams.

Materials included: Materials will be selected according to objectives and needs of the student(s) defined in accordance with the teacher.

Others included: Introduction folder with Tourist information including area map & info about the course (levels, objectives, contents and evaluations) /placement test / coffee & tea during breaks / introduction talk on Sunday / Friday’s happy hour / certificate upon completion.

Ubicación

Nuestra escuela en Turrialba, Costa Rica, se llama Spanish by the River. Se encuentra un poco fuera de la ciudad típicamente tica de Turrialba. En la escuela, puedes encontrar una cocina totalmente equipada, una biblioteca, hamacas, varias áreas de estudio, computadoras, Wi-Fi gratis y un hermoso jardín. Las clases de español se llevan a cabo en su mayoría afuera, en una de las pequeñas cabañas o en el amplio porche, desde donde se tiene una hermosa vista del volcán y los exuberantes y verdes alrededores. Puede observar aves exóticas como tucanes, colibríes y otras especies tropicales mientras asiste a clases. Durante los descansos, servimos un delicioso café de las tierras altas circundantes.

"I had a good experience."

I had a really good experience with Spanish by the river. In my class we were just two students and one teacher and that was absolutely perfect. We shared the same level and developed quickly Spanish. Our teacher would teach us what we want to learn and would make suggestions. I really appreciated that she was local and could tell us more about the area and traditions of Turrialba. In the afternoon we had time to discover the area and talk about it in the next class. The teacher and the location was perfect. My only complain is that it took a full week until we received the second exercise book. That was too long.
In total I am happy and fulfilled with my experience. I learned what I was looking for and would recommend this course.
